How to Apply:
Applications of only such officers/candidates will be considered as and routed through proper channel and are accompanied with (i) cadre clearance (ii) bio-data (in triplicate) as in the proforma enclosed (Annexure-II) (iii) Attested (on each page with rubber stamp) photocopies of ACRs for the last five years (iv) Vigilance Clearance (V) Integrity Certificate and (vi) Statement giving details of major or minor penalties imposed on the officer, if any, during the last 10 years. Advance copies of applications received after the closing date or not accompanied with the required certificates/documents are liable to be rejected.

It may by noted that the officers coming on deputation to CBI are entitled for Special Incentive Allowance @ 15% on the pay.
The applications of suitable and eligible officers who can be spared immediately in the event of selection may be sent to the Admn. Officer (Pers.), Central Bureau of Investigation, as to reach by June 30th, 2016.Applications received after this date will not be entertained.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI ) , functioning under Deptt. of Personnel, Ministry of Personnel, Pension & Public Grievances, Government of India, is the premier investigating police agency in India. It is an elite force playing a major role in preservation of values in public life and in ensuring the health of the national economy. It is also the nodal police agency in India which coordinates investigation on behalf of Interpol Member countries.
Over the years CBI has built up an image for professionalism and integrity. The services of its investigating officers are sought for all major investigations in the country. CBI as an organisation is held in high esteem by the Supreme Court, the High Courts, the Parliament and the public. The CBI has to investigate major crimes in the country having interstate and international ramifications. It is also involved in collection of criminal intelligence pertaining to three of its main areas of operation, viz., Anti-Corruption, Economic Crimes and Special Crimes.
